Ultimate Security – The All in One Security Toolkit for Your WordPress Site

1) Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the WP Ultimate Security WordPress plugin (“WPUS”, the “Plugin”), our site, and related services. By downloading, installing, or using WPUS, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use WPUS.

2) Product Delivery

  • Free downloads: Available after creating an account and logging in at wpultimatesecurity.com.

  • Paid downloads: Available immediately after payment is received and verified.

  • Payments: We accept Stripe, PayPal, and major cards (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, American Express). You must also agree to your payment provider’s terms.

  • Order email: Purchase details are sent to your registered email.

  • Anti-fraud/manual review: Some orders may trigger a manual review and delay fulfillment by 1–24 hours (or longer if investigation requires). You’ll be notified by email.

3) Licensing & Usage

  • Plugin code license: WP Ultimate Security’s code is released under GNU GPL v2.0 or later (GPL-2.0+). You may copy, modify, and redistribute the code under the GPL. We do not restrict rights granted by the GPL. WordPress Developer Resources+1

  • Services & keys (non-GPL): Access to license verification, updates, premium/cloud features, and support is governed by these Terms and your active subscription. You may not share, sell, or expose license keys or attempt to bypass our servers or checks.

4) Updates, Support Access, and Expiry

  • Each purchase includes 12 months of updates and support from order completion.

  • Renewals: Subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled beforehand (manage from your account).

  • If expired/canceled: You keep your GPL rights to the code you already have. However, updates, premium/cloud features, and support stop until reactivated.

5) Product Compatibility & Browsers

  • Designed for current WordPress releases and actively supported PHP versions.

  • Optimized for current versions of major modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).

  • Internet Explorer is not supported (Microsoft officially ended support for IE 11 on June 15, 2022). Microsoft Learn

6) Modifications

  • You’re free to customize the Plugin under the GPL. For safer upgrades:

    • Read the docs first—there may be a built-in way to achieve your goal.

    • Prefer extensions/template overrides (PHP/JS/CSS) instead of editing core files.

    • If you modify core, we may be unable to support your customized build.

  • Redistribution of modified versions must remain GPL-compatible if you distribute them. WordPress Developer Resources

7) Unauthorized/Illegal Uses (Services & Accounts)

We may suspend or revoke access to our license servers, cloud features, downloads, or your account—without prior notice—if we reasonably believe there is:

  • License key sharing or circumvention of licensing systems;

  • Abuse (e.g., harassment, spam, scraping, rate abuse, or illegal activity);

  • Security risk (compromised account/keys, hostile traffic, or tampering).

Important: This section applies to services/keys/systems. It does not restrict your GPL rights to the code.

8) Age Requirements

By using our products, you confirm:

  • You are 18+ or the legal age of majority where you live; or

  • If a minor, you have verifiable parental/guardian consent; and

  • You agree to these Terms.

9) Privacy & GDPR

10) Support Policy

Language: English.
Priority: Customers with active paid subscriptions receive priority support.
Channels: Email/ticket; WordPress.org forum for the free plugin; documentation, guides, and FAQs (social media DMs are not support channels).
Supported WordPress: Current stable WordPress releases (see product page).
What we cover:

  • WordPress compatibility errors on a fresh install;

  • Help using our products beyond what docs cover (reasonable guidance);

  • Installation assistance;

  • Fixes for broken plugin functionality attributable to WPUS.
    What we don’t cover:

  • Damage from security incidents on your environment;

  • Outdated PHP/MySQL/WordPress;

  • Plugins/themes not from our site;

  • Conflicts with third-party products;

  • Cases where site/URL or admin access cannot be provided for troubleshooting;

  • Errors caused by custom code edits (PHP/JS) or unsupported browsers (including IE).
    Minor customization courtesy: If a request needs only a few lines of CSS/JS, we may help. We allocate up to 30 minutes/year of courtesy CSS/JS per customer, subject to availability.

11) Anti-Fraud

Free downloads require sign-in. Paid orders may be held for manual anti-fraud checks. During review, your account may be temporarily restricted for up to 24 hours or longer if needed. We’ll email you the outcome.

12) Price & Service Changes

We may modify pricing, packaging, or discontinue features/services (temporarily or permanently) with or without notice. Existing subscriptions continue through their paid term.

13) Refunds

We offer a 30-day refund for first-time purchases if the product does not meet your needs.

  • Refunds don’t apply to features not included in the purchased plan.

  • Please evaluate the free version on WordPress.org or consult support before purchase if you need specific features.

  • You must deactivate and remove license keys before refund processing.

  • Renewals and upgrades may be excluded from refunds (see product page).

14) Warranty (As-Is)

WPUS is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or compatibility with every environment or third-party extension. Check browser compatibility; we do not support all combinations.

15) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WP Ultimate Security is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, or business; or costs of substitute goods/services arising from the use or inability to use the Plugin, the site, or related services.

16) Assets: Images & Fonts

We do not license or redistribute third-party stock images, videos, or certain fonts that may appear in demos or documentation. You must obtain appropriate rights before using those assets on live sites.

17) “Lifetime” Licenses

“Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the product (while we continue to develop and offer it), not the buyer’s lifetime or any other interpretation. We may update, change, or retire lifetime products/features at any time.

18) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time; changes take effect upon posting on wpultimatesecurity.com. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

19) Entire Agreement

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and WP Ultimate Security regarding the Plugin, the site, and related services, superseding prior or contemporaneous communications.
